Cost Engineering Expert (m/f/d)

Ihre Aufgaben

• Calculation and assessment of carbon emissions with supplier and customer interaction with regards to CO2 footprint tracking and improvements. Global alignment and implementation of calculation methodology and maintenance of a global database.

• Calculation and presentation of bottom-up calculations (market targets) for new projects to support the customer teams in the product development and acquisition phase (assistance and suggestions for arguments towards the customer and the development department). Passing on the targets to the purchasing department.

• Independent derivation of measures to reduce costs and presentation of the results to the respective internal decision-making body

• Independent recognition, development and implementation of best practice solutions in processes and cost structures in the respective material group including in-house production

• Cost Breakdown analysis for product cost calculation and active support of the responsible buyer in supplier negotiations

• Identification of cost-optimal solutions for securing returns through reference and benchmark calculation (including through competitive analyses)

• Maintenance and development of cost models and databases

Ihr Profil

• Successfully completed degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

• Solid experience in Costing and Purchasing

• 4-6 years of work experience in a relevant area

• Proficient communication skills in English (Verbal and Written)

• Advanced user in Microsoft Office programs

• Analytical skills on manufacturing value flow

• Willingness to travel (approx 30%)
