In order to ensure the efficient financial management and financial control necessary to support all business activities, it comprises all major related responsibilities: from Financial and Cash Flow Management, Accounting, Advising and longer-term financing, Tax Management, Investment Management, to Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting and Forecasting as well as Financial Reporting and Analysis to assisting and challenging the CEO, Business Unit Leaders and Managers in making key strategic decisions.
The department is set up as a shared service for the HRS Group with a cross-location team of around 40 experts, headed by the CFO and his Management Team, working on standardized workflows to increase efficiency on the one hand and apply state of the art decision-making tools and principle-based recommendations to foster organizational resilience in times of rapid change on the other.

POSITION
As Global Lead of Tax (all genders) , you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Group while working closely with various stakeholders across the Group. The Global Lead of Tax is execution driven, takes ownership and prioritizes projects and tasks with a global view on the business activities and pushing things forward in accordance with strong monitoring and management advise. Thriving in fast-paced, multinational and technology driven enviroments, you work closely with the management team and navigate complex challenges with confidence and competence. You are highly organized, deadline-oriented and able to reduce complexity. With an holistic view of the business, you coordinate tasks with external consultants and assess the tax risks and concerns of the entire Group.
This position can be based in Berlin or Cologne.
CHALLENGE
- Development of processes and the implementation of ever new requirements in a rapidly changing international environment
- Coordination with the tax authorities and audits (GK, BZST, Payroll audit)
- Ability to adapt to German and international requirements
- Coordination with external advisors in respect of CIT, VAT and Transfer-Pricing issues
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...
- Several years of professional experience in consultancy firms (Big4) in the areas of German & International taxes
- German tax advisor examination graduated or comparable qualification
- Strong Project management skills
- A solid understanding of interactions between tax measures and requirements
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new requirements, hands on attitude
- Good presentation and communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex tax related information to non-finance colleagues
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE
The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
This role is based in Cologne or Berlin combined with travel to HQ (Cologne) with an hybrid working model.
