Stellenbeschreibung

The Institute for Cardiogenetics (www.cardiogenetics-luebeck.de) was established in 2013, comprising teams in Bioinformatics and Experimental Research. Team members employ and integrate in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo methods to unravel the genetics of cardiovascular diseases. We have a large dataset and are involved in extensive networks of national and international collaborations, such as CARDIoGRAMplusC4D, PlaqOmics, and VIAgenomics. Additionally, we actively participate in data and sample exchange initiatives.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Statistical design and analysis of association studies (GWAS & RVAS) from NGS and chip-based studies, or molecular QTLs (eQTL, sQTL etc.) as well as single-cell OMIC techniques (single cell RNAseq, single cell ATACseq etc)

  • Collaborating with computational and wet-lab biologists for mechanism elucidation

  • Preparing written and oral presentations of results to the team and the public

  • Maintaining and organizing large amounts of genetic data and summary statistics

  • Supervising of PhD, master, and bachelor students

  • Knowledge of next-generation sequencing statistical analysis (sample/variant QC, association analysis) and knowledge of meta-analysis theory and analysis and knowledge of modern summary statistical analysis (LD-score regression, co-localization etc.)

  • Knowledge of Mendelian Randomization

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

Wir bieten Ihnen

  • The salary will be paid in accordance with remuneration group E13 TV-L (Public Sector Collective Agreement)
