• Provide architectural and technical leadership to a cross functional team of engineers

• Lead and mentor the team, providing technical guidance and career development support

• Work with a product owner to help the team break down tasks into manageable pieces

• Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality and performance

• Oversee that application performance and scalability are maintained with every release

• Ensure proper documentation of all processes, codebases, and systems

Ihr Profil

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager in Munich or Berlin with a proficient PHP or NodeJS knowledge to lead and empower a team of talented engineers. You will oversee a team of engineers and their code that powers our fast-growing business while also contributing and developing processes. Above all, your work will contribute towards creating a more attractive, helpful and fashionable community for everyone!,

• You have some experience managing a team of engineers

• You have always stayed hands-on and you bring at least 5 years of experience with PHP or NodeJs

• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Experience with PHP or NodeJS frameworks (Symfony, Next.js)

• Knowledge of OOP, design patterns, DDD

• Self-motivation and a passion for learning new technologies

• Experience with unit testing and integration tests (PHPUnit, Jest)

• Experience with TDD or BDD

• Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis, or Memcached is a plus

• Experience with any of the cloud computing platforms, e.g. AWS

• Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins, TravisCI, GitLab CI/CD etc.)

• Experience with containerization and Docker (Kubernetes experience is welcome)

• Experience with performance optimization

• Knowledge of best security practices

• Fluent in English
