The Senior Manager Global Patient Advocacy implements regional and disease specific engagement strategies with cancer patient advocacy groups in Region Europe/Canada based on the global Patient Advocacy strategy and specific country needs. The incumbent will engage with patient organizations focused on areas of joint interest to Daiichi Sankyo's vision for the future, realising opportunities to collaborate and expand the partnership. Build and manage strategic sustainable partnerships with cancer patient organisations and other relevant stakeholders, assessing the current and evolving healthcare and stakeholder environment

Work with Senior Director Global Patient Advocacy for Europe to co-create and implement Global Patient Advocacy strategy for Region EUCAN ensuring alignment with business objectives and addressing the needs of patient organizations throughout the lifecycle of medicines.

Develop and implement indication specific strategic plans and tactics within current and pipeline indications in Region EUCAN and foster implementation in EUCAN countries.

Work within the Patient Advocacy team to foster the patient centric culture in OBU/OBD and more broadly across the organization.

Manage an organisational view across the range of patient advocacy activities and initiatives including exploring the potential for synergies and efficiencies across activities.

Drive strategic projects in the area of patient advocacy, collaborate closely with the internal communications team to coordinate both internal and external communication.

Take the lead in organizing internal patient educational events such as lunch & learns and town halls.

Manage and curate a list of patient representatives located in Europe for speaking engagements, facilitating the sharing of patient experience narratives and other related opportunities.

Support cross functional colleagues in engagement with patient stakeholders, to build relationships that facilitate collaborative partnerships and programs aimed at improving patient care.
Further Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including medical, access and health policy teams, to execute strategic and operational plans within existing and emerging indications within Oncology.

Collaboration with medical teams to produce patient education materials

Collaborate with the Value and Access team to analyse the current external landscape and assist in fostering a favourable healthcare environment for existing and pipeline products

Support development and implementation of Global Patient Advocacy strategy for Region Europe/Canada addressing the needs of patient organisations throughout the lifecycle of medicines

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute strategic and operational plans within existing and emerging cancer indications

Drive regular exchange with EU-5 countries, MSC and Nordics, and prepare deep dives.

Ensure actions arising from country touch points and reviews are promptly addressed.

Operationalise patient advocacy e.g. identifying gaps in skills, processes, governance, resource and culture, designing solutions for these and tracking, measuring, and reporting performance of patient advocacy against established goals

Support advocacy capability building with country teams, including developing and implementing training resources (e.g. online training modules, training materials, workshops)
Ihr Profil

bachelor or master degree in science, social science or related field

5 to 8 years working with or working for patient advocacy organisations and related groups. Broad network of established relationships with cancer advocacy groups in Europe and European countries. Strong knowledge of European compliance requirements for patient engagement. Experience in operating in multi-stakeholder environments

Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with a proven ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with diverse groups of people and audiences.

Strong practical sense to gather needs from different stakeholders and able to translate these needs into concrete and meaningful initiatives to benefit patients in Oncology

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills; competent and confident in presenting to senior leadership

Strong intercultural sensibility to engage with diverse populations across European countries
