Your tasks: The scope of duties includes experimental and accompanying theoretical/numerical research on noiseless and fast-tuneable fibre- or waveguide-based ultrafast light sources with, for example, applications ranging from frequency modulation stimulated Raman scattering microscopy and over precision metrology to quantum communication. The planned research will be used, among other things, to further reduce noise as well as the time required for wavelength tuning. The position is tied to working towards a doctorate.
