Concept analysis and main component identification

Planning and control of hardware projects

Specification writing, drafting of block diagrams as well as schematic capture and layout

DFMEA, FMEDA, thermal, worst case and reliability analysis

Extensive experience of designing several power converters (DCDC, ACDC)

Excellent knowledge of power conversion for low voltage (<60 V) and high voltage (>60 V to <800 V)
-
Experience in high power conversion units (>2KW), high currents (>100A) and high voltage (>250V)
-
Experience in DCDC control loops. Experience in real time digital control for switch mode power supplies an advantage.

Experience in the automotive industry

Good analogue and digital design skills

Fluent in schematics capture, layout and simulation
-
Good practical knowledge of EMC as well as thermal management skills
-
Good knowledge of electronics components market cost levels (cost conscious design)

Good understanding of mechanical packaging for embedded electronics and of electronics manufacturing (design for manufacturing, design for testing)

Fluent in English
- Preferably have

AC to DC converter design, power factor correction.

Experience of designing resonant converter, especially LLC.

Experience in designing, specifying and testing magnetic component such as power inductors and transformers
-
Knowledge of communication protocols for the automotive market (e.g. CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet etc.).

Knowledge of Mentor Graphics CAD package

Experience in OBC, HV DCDC, bidirectional conversion for the automotive industry
-
Practical experience using MATLAB tool chains.
