Ihre Aufgaben
As part of the Satellite Systems Engineering department, the System Performance team is responsible for controlling the system performance of our spacecraft from study phases until commissioning in-orbit. As part of our team, you will work in an inter-disciplinary environment in which you can contribute to the overall system architecture of our space missions, coordinate design and development activities related to space system performance and verify the performance requirements by analyses and tests., In this position, you will work in collaboration with architects and subsystem engineers on tasks like:

Establish and maintain the mission performance budgets, including geometric performance

Coordination of performance analyses at satellite level
-
Flow-down of the performance requirements from system level to satellite and subsystem level
-
Planning and implementation of the performance calibration
-
Technical management of data processing and simulation chain at system level, including responsibility for processing aspects at satellite level
-
Contributions to technical management of payloads and platform units relevant for system performances
Ihr Profil
-
University degree in physics, aerospace engineering, remote sensing, or similar
-
Professional experience of at least five years in one or more of the following categories
-
Satellite design, in particular optical and/or radar missions
-
Design & simulation of control systems, multibody systems, mechanisms or similar
-
Geometric performances of Earth observation space missions
-
Technical management of payload and/or unit development for space missions
-
End-to-End Simulation of Earth-Observation and/or Science Data
-
Experience in programming (MATLAB, Python)
-
Self-managed, solution-oriented and pro-active working style
-
Ability lead a work in a team and manage a work-package with contributions from different team members
-
Working level proficiency in written and spoken English and German. Other language skills advantageous

Willingness to work in defense & surveillance projects
