Your responsibilities:

• Serving as a contact person for domestic and international locations and administrative departments on tax-related issues
• Preparing tax filings and declarations as well as reviewing tax assessments
• Evaluating complex (international) VAT and income tax matters
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of tax processes and tax compliance
• Supporting accounting with booking ongoing business transactions and preparing annual and monthly financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB)
• Managing tax audits and collaborating closely with tax consultants, auditors, and authorities domestically and internationally

Your profile:

• Youll have successfully completed studies in finance or business administration with a focus on taxes, finance/accounting, or a comparable qualification, such as training as a tax specialist
• Youll have relevant professional experience in German and/or international tax law in practice, or several years of relevant experience in an auditing/tax consulting firm
• You enjoy building and optimizing the tax department and working in a team
• Youll have strong knowledge of tax and commercial law; experience in international VAT law is advantageous
• Youll have a responsible and independent work ethic combined with analytical thinking skills
• Youre proficient in German and English, as well as in MS Office; preferably, you are also familiar with the ERP system Business Central
