Your responsibilities will include
- Develop new continuum-theoretical models of fiber orientation in flow
- Create numerical solutions or the resulting differential equations for orientation tensors in simple geometrics
- Compare the results of different models with experimental data
- Publish results in scientific journals and present them at scientific conferences
- Communicate key project ideas and main results to a non-expert audience Your profile should include
- A completed scientific university degree (e.g. Masters in Physical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics,or Mathematics)
- At least 3 years of experience in independent scientific research upon completing your master degree
- In-depth knowledge of continuum mechanics and tensor calculus
- Basic knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM) and basic programming skills
- Interest in fundamental research with an application focus
- Very good English skills
