A24-16b - Epidemiologist / PhD-position (m/f/d)

Ihre Aufgaben

• Participation in the implementation of the NACOP project which addresses polygenic risk scores and risk-adapted cancer screening in German population groups

• Analysis of studies based on primary and/or secondary data (GePaRD, NAKO)

• Conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses of epidemiological and medical studies

• Writing of reports and publications (in English)

• Presentation of the results at conferences

Ihr Profil

Master Degree or equivalent,

• Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health sciences, medicine, pharmacy or a related field

• Very good knowledge of English

• Good knowledge of statistics (experience with statistical software would be an advantage)

• Affinity for interdisciplinary work, team spirit, coordination and organizational skills

• Experience with the analysis of genetic data, the application of advanced biostatistical methods and publications in the fields of epidemiology/medicine are an advantage.

The position starts as early as possible provided it receives administrative clearance. The contract is initially limited for 36 months., The Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS is one of the most renowned epidemiological research institutes in Germany.
