**Tasks:**
- Overall responsibility for logistics processes: Manage and optimize internal and external logistics processes (goods receipt, storage, material flow, shipping
- Team leadership: Lead and develop the on-site logistics team (warehouse, goods receipt, shipping), including training and performance evaluations
- Inventory management: Monitor and optimize inventory levels, ensure material availability for production, and ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Supplier management: Collaborate with suppliers and carriers, negotiate delivery terms, and ensure a smooth supply chain
- Cost optimization: Analyze and continuously improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce logistics costs
- Safety and quality management: Ensure compliance and company rules with safety, environmental, and quality regulations in the logistics area
- Process optimization and digitization: Implement modern logistics systems and technologies (e.g., ERP optimization, automated warehouse management) to increase efficiency and support the Industry 4.0 company strategy
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and analyses on relevant KPIs (e.g., inventory turnover, delivery punctuality, transportation costs) and report to senior management
**Qualification**:
- Degree in business administration or logistics or a commercial apprenticeship with a comparable qualification (ideally with additional qualification as logistics managerMany years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Extensive experience in employee management
- Comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry and experience in managing complex projects
- Sound knowledge of management with key business figures and financial KPIs
- Interface function to other departments such as purchasing, sales, logistics, maintenance and quality management to ensure a smooth production process
- Active involvement in certification procedures and representative tasks during customer visits or with representatives of other institutions
