Under the responsibility of the Business Unit Colocated Research Director, the Team Leader manages and coordinates a group of 20-25 people composed of organic chemists, chemical analysts and DMPK scientists. The team is located in the facilities of a international pharmaceutical group (Insourcing). The team's mission is to synthesize molecules for R&D, characterize their physico-chemical parameters and assess their properties in terms of metabolism and cellular permeability. The team Leader can rely on experts in DMPK and analytics to carry out the mission.
She/he is responsible for the smooth running of scientific projects, the team's successful integration, and its smooth operation. She/he transmits directives from the company and conveys NovAliX's culture and values to the team. She/he is responsible for customer satisfaction.
Your missions consist in:

Managing the scientific projects of the client : elaboration of the synthetic routes, organization of the team's work and validation of the chemical's quality for delivery to the customer

Regularly Interacting with the customer : (bi)weekly chemistry presentations, reporting, remove the blocking points, etc.

Managing the team: ensure the cohesion and team development

Representing the company and its values to the client and team
A 2 to 3 month acculturation period to NovAliX and the insourcing model in Paris will be required before the start-up in Germany, in January.
The position is based at one of our client's sites located in Frankfurt (Germany).
Profile :
You hold a PhD in organic chemistry with 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in CRO context. Only candidates showing significant experience in organic chemistry, strong knowledges in synthetic chemistry and management will be considered. Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English. French would be an asset.
You are motivated, rigorous and proactive. You have the ability to federate a team and a keen sense of customer service.
