THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Wholesale Business Development Manager, the Car Mechanic is responsible for providing the service of vehicle safety,
inspections, diagnosing tire problems, as well as the repairing of tires. They
are responsible for performing oil changes, air and pollen filters, cables, all fluid changes, brake service, as well as replacing and adjusting brake pads. They must ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in excellent working condition and report any defects for authorization to send for repair. They are responsible for inventory of all tools. They must ensure stock levels directed by the Merchandise Manager (basic stock items) are replenished in a consistent and timely
Manner. They are responsible for over- the counter sales of parts and accessories.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma with several years experience in mechanical work or a related field or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
Experience
In a mechanical trade
In using software for databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / German an asset
