Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director Quality & HSE Division Europe (m/f/d) to join our European management team in the renewables and environment industry. As the Director Quality & HSE Division Europe, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality health, safety, and environmental initiatives within our organization and the Division Europe regions. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as developing, implementing and strengthening best practices to promote a safe work environment and a zero-accident culture.
YOUR TASKS:
- Coordinate and professionally develop your QHSE Team and members of the Division Europe Management Team, train them on best practices, Nordex QHSE processes and provide them with guidance on the attainment of pursued objectives
- Promote the standardization of processes, performance standards and a preventive culture in the division and ensure that Division Europe requirements, processes and procedures are considered for global standards in the company and drive implementation of global standards in the regions
- Ensure collaboration and alignment with all stakeholders in the regions and Headquarter, member of the Nordex HSE Leadership-Team and of the Division Europe Management Team
- Proactively and continuously improve our approach to HSE, in close co-operation with the management, employees and their representatives
- Promote a zero-accident culture and global HSE awareness campaigns within the Division Europe regions; supplement with divisional specific materials where appropriate
- Ensure HSE reporting from regions/ countries is achieved accurately and on time (hours, incidents, waste, energy, sustainability data)
- Monitor and execute quality assurance in the regions in line with the given standards by Corporate Quality Management
YOUR PROFILE:
- University degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field
- More than 10 years of work experience in the wind industry or a comparable industry with its QHSE requirements desirable
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing quality, health, safety and environmental programs
- Completed training as a safety specialist desirable
- Analytically strong, intrinsically motivated and results-oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Self-initiative and independent working style with ownership and accountability
- Very good language skills in English are required, additional languages like German or Spanish are a plus
