Ihre Aufgaben
At eyeo, you will have the opportunity to support and lead the accounting team, encompassing transactional accounting, external financial reporting, accounting and financial governance policy, and technical accounting. You will play a critical role in managing German accounting, fundamental business process flows and establishing and maintaining a comprehensive environment of controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting rules. You will collaborate with consolidation and tax functions in book closes, quarterly financial package preparation and financial audits. This role provides the opportunity for partnerships with various internal and external teams.
Your day-to-day activities:

Manage the day-to-day relationships with outsourced or in-house accounting professionals and proactively identify new opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen financial controls

Ensure financial data is recorded in accordance with company policies and related GAAP

Oversee the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close cycles, including the global consolidation and reporting of all accounting-related results necessary for external and management reporting

Build deep functional and technical excellence within the team in accounting and control competencies

Build and document process flows while pursuing process improvement opportunities in the fundamentals of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, order-to-record and hire-to-retire end-to-end process flows

Provide support to the Corporate Controller with audits, special inquiries, projects and ad-hoc analysis; for German entities play a lead role in managing financial audits

Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

Manage banking transactions and nurture relationships with banking partners

Lead compliance with local statutory reporting requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; and advising management on needed actions

Collaborate with Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, and other teams; ensure that accurate accounting data be provided in a timely manner

Provide insightful business requirements to the ERP project team; be actively involved in system implementation and improvement

Ihr Profil

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or foreign degree equivalent

CPA or equivalent, Bilanzbuchhalter or Internationaler Bilanzbuchhalter

At least 8 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting

At least 3 years' experience in a leadership position

Knowledge of and experience with German GAAP and IFRS
