Your responsibilities:
The Director, Supply Chain Portfolio Management Office, Global (m/f/d) will drive strategy execution and oversee high-impact supply chain initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams and optimizing resources to ensure successful project delivery. Reporting to the VP Strategy & Excellence, this role is essential for enhancing transformation capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience to meet strategic goals. Your main tasks will include:
- Manage global Supply Chain initiatives portfolio with a focus on strategic project selection, governance, and benefit realization
- Provide project management expertise for strategic initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and outcomes, and build capacity within the team to support these objectives
- Apply risk management, governance, and quality standards across all projects
- Lead and guide a diverse team of project managers and analysts across geographies, upholding Olympus core values
- Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and support team members in achieving targets and development goals through regular 1:1s and training
- Coach team members on Olympus policies, foster personal development, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Proactively communicate team achievements and project progress to stakeholders, enhancing business awareness of team capabilities and fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Support the Head of SCM and VP of Strategy & Excellence by maintaining transparency and engagement in SCM transformation and strategic initiatives
- Represent SCM within the Global PPM community, contributing to the development of effective PPM standards and practices
Your qualification Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Masters degree and certifications in Project/Portfolio Management are a plus
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, preferably in consumer goods, medical devices, life sciences, or technology
- Experience in mid to large multinational supply chain operations and managing complex global supply chain projects
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers
- Comfortable managing relationships with senior leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; business fluent in English (additional languages like German or Japanese desirable)
- Proficient in ERP (SAP) systems, project management tools, and data management systems
- Familiarity with IBP, WMS and TMS platforms is a plus
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and resource management
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
