Your role is to build a world class Data Platform. Our enterprise has many on premise data silos. The data platform breaks those silos by bringing that data into Azure and then making it available for our data scientists and our product teams. Our various platform teams comprise data and software engineers. They provide infrastructure components and services as well as data storages, data an integration services.
As the product owner, you will work with the engineers in the cross-functional product teams. Your customers are the data scientist and product teams. We build UX driven applications for our customers and for - our operators at the cement plant. This ranges from truck tracking mobile apps, optimizing our electricity usage and enabling our data scientist to make our company more data driven.
You have an opportunity to shape and improve our Data Platform over the coming years. Our Data Platform is at its early stage and you have the once in a lifetime chance to steer it right from the beginning in your role.
Our tech stack: Microservice architecture (K8s, RabbitMQ, NATS, gRPC, REST, Postgres, &) in C#/.NET Core
- Azure cloud, including the Azure IIoT

- Help set the vision of the data platform and strive to enable data scientists and application product teams
- Break-down feature ideas into user stories and refine them with your product teams
- Align with other stakeholders and make sure that the resolution of a user story meets the requirements but is also approached consistently across our products
- Support your product team to consider removing technical dept, adding monitoring and alerting as well as keeping focus on the value drivers when refining new features
- Structure requests from our global user base and international stakeholder into manageable development pieces of value that build on each other and tie into our product roadmaps
- Keep the backlog of your product team always in a healthy state, ensure a continuous flow of user stories refined and ready to develop and look after our Definition of Done during the sprint
Your profile:
- University degree in computer science, business informatics or a closely related field
- Experience with owning and operating data lakes and lake houses as a service
- Much appreciated would be experience in an IT consultancy
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Requirement Engineer or Product owner would be helpful
- Familiar with agile methodology and Jira and confluence
- Experience in a large global organization is a plus
- Some experience with Cloud infrastructure, API's and digital products
- Very strong coordination and communication skills are a clear must for this role
- Bright mind and structured thinker
- Very good English
- Capacity to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel globally (not on a regular basis but it can happen)
