Research assistant (PhD-candidate or Postdoc) (f/m/d)

Ihre Aufgaben

The Fellows and the Specialist will have the opportunity to be incorporated in cutting-edge research conducted at the Department of Gastroenterology (University Hospital Heidelberg). This project is funded by the DFG. We closely collaborate with other research groups from Heidelberg and Boston (USA).,

• Perform immunological and molecular biology techniques (e.g. Flow Cytometry, bulk and single cell RNAseq)

• Execute cell culture and cell-based assays

• Conduct mouse experiments

• Analyze experimental data and interpret results for scientific reporting

• Preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication,

• Goal-oriented, individual training and development opportunities (e.g. career development support)

• Working with the latest techniques / technical equipment

• Flexible working hours within the framework of flexitime

Ihr Profil

• Passion, enthusiasm and strong interest in immunity

• Diploma or Master's/ PhD degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, biochemistry, life sciences or a related discipline

• Hands-on experience in molecular / cellular biology and protein biochemistry

• Experience in structural biology is desirable

• Good communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing)
