Associate / Senior Systems Engineer - IT INF Business Focused Solutions

We are looking for you to complement our Pathfinder service team as a System Engineer! You will be an integral part of our IT INF IAS Business focused Solutions team based in Ingelheim, Germany.

Here, you will have the opportunity to consult, design, and implement infrastructure solutions for custom applications in the diverse landscape of Boehringer Ingelheim.

Depending on your experience and skills, this position can either be filled as Associate System Engineer or Senior System Engineer.

This position is part time eligible with 80%.

Tasks & responsibilities

• With your great technical expertise, you will engage in requirements engineering, seamlessly integrating with existing Infrastructure services and products while also spearheading the development of innovative solutions to enhance business process efficiency.

• You will comprehend, develop, and implement custom infrastructure solutions tailored to meet business demands.

• By extending your support to local manufacturing and laboratory business in Germany, you will become a crucial ally in their operations.

• Furthermore, you will lend your expertise to support automated processes in Microsoft Solutions with database connections, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

• Finally, you will hand over solutions to our service provider, ensuring seamless daily operations and proficient incident / problem handling.

  Additional tasks & responsibilities as Senior System Engineer:

• You will coordinate initiatives and lead projects in the respecting area.

• In addition, you will handle escalations and coordinate solution implementations.

• You will drive quality assurance alignment and ensure the compliance of the service.

Ihr Profil

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or similar field with few years of relevant working experience

• Initial experience in the IT Infrastructure space as well as experience in designing, planning and implementing IT solutions.

• Technical proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps, Microsoft Office Suite, Database Systems (Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL), and IT Infrastructure technologies (VMware, storage, networking technologies, Microsoft Technologies)

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies,

• Willingness and readiness to travel and a mindset focused on innovation, quality, and customer service

• Excellent communication skills in English and German

• Scripting knowledge and experience with automation technologies, experience with agile project methodologies (Scrum), or work structure methods like Kanban, enhance your ability performing the job

  Additional requirements as Senior System Engineer:

• Several years of working experience

• Experience in Project management, technical leadership and experience in a validated environment
