You will operate one or more types of gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles typically having a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds to include driving/operating tractor-trailers (Articulated Lorries/Trucks) and buses capable of carrying 16 or more passengers. Drive/operate over public roads (or equivalent) in a full range of traffic conditions and at highway speeds transporting cargo/passengers. Perform operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, cleaning, washing vehicles, completing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper operation. Maintains records and documents actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports. Checks material transported against invoices, verifies status of cargo, and obtains signature of receiving personnel. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations; and maintains a safe and clean work environment.,
- Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies. 1
- Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.
- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. Position may be coded as mission essential.
- A 6-month probationary period will be required.
- Overtime may be required.
- May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
Will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment medical. Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, or heavier with assistance. Required to wear protective clothing and high visibility clothing where appropriate. May be subject to random drug testing. Required to operate forklifts to facilitate cargo loading/unloading (desired),

Ihr Profil
Must have a valid driver's CPC/Certificate of Professional Competence, UK Category D and C+E driver'slicense. *Knowledge and experience of operating buses capable of carrying 16 or more passengers *Knowledge and experience of cargo handling and hauling and techniques for safeguarding and protecting cargo. *Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle. *Knowledge and experience of operating one or more electric, LPG, or diesel powered forklifts. *Knowledge of operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW over32,000 pounds such as buses and heavy load in-line trucks (tractor/trailer). *Ability to judge road/traffic conditions and read maps, and SATNAV's to determine the shortest and safest route; interpret instructions, specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle, fork lift, and power take-off unit operation and preventive maintenance; and meet pickup and delivery deadlines and schedules.
