The Department of Art & Archaeology at Princeton University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track), Associate Professor (with tenure), or Professor (with tenure) in Japanese Art History. The successful candidate is expected to start September 2024. PhD is expected by the start date.
Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising in the applicant's area of expertise as well as more general or thematic courses. Expectations also include interacting broadly with other departments, programs, and initiatives at Princeton and beyond as well as regular interaction and collaboration with East Asian Studies, the P.Y. and Kinmay W. Tang Center for East Asian Art, and the Princeton University Art Museum.
