Ihre Aufgaben
One of the main tasks of the DLR GfR mbH is to operate and manage the constellation of Galileo satellites from the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. For the performance of tasks in the Galileo operation team we are looking for a Space Segment Maintenance Engineer. This position focuses on spacecraft anomaly investigation, recovery strategies and workaround development. As Space Segment Maintenance Engineer you will assume the following tasks:

Analysis of spacecraft anomaly and anomaly-handling procedures

Planning and implementation of test and recovery procedures

Support of Galileo operations with focus on anomaly recovery and improvements

Analysis and development of new operational concepts and improvements with focus on service oriented spacecraft operations

Analysis, development and production of operational products and procedures

Performance and trend analysis
Ihr Profil
-
Master's degree in engineering or equivalent (preferred in aerospace engineering or equivalent)
-
A minimum 3 years of experience in Space projects (industry/ satellite operations)
-
Expert knowledge of at least one of those subsystems: AOCS, Galileo Payload, TCS
-
Experience in S/C Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT), S/C design, unit and/or avionics software development beneficial

High analytical skills and flexibility

Good level of spoken and written English
