The Electromechanical Technician will support and build the next generation automation equipment for our manufacturing operations. The individual will be in a role to troubleshoot and build automated equipment that meets our cost, quality, and performance requirements. They will work in an integrated team environment working closely with other engineers in delivering advanced automation solutions.,

Assist Engineering in the design phase.

Work in a team environment during the electrical and mechanical assembly phase.

Run wiring, wire terminals and assemble mechanism for automation.

Coordinate tear down and installation. This begins in the design phase to help the engineer break up the job into sections sized to move and build.

Effectively and safely: Troubleshoot wiring and circuits, wire according to NEC, read and understand schematics.

Work cross functionally with all departments during all phases of the project including de-bug and runoff.

Verify arrival of materials to ensure they are available when needed.

Keep the project team up to date on key project details, and keep the team informed on tasks.

Drive best practice and cost savings opportunities with the electrical team.

Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.

Communicate with the Controls Engineer and Equipment Manager on open issues, milestones, release status, timing, hours, and budget concerns.

Responsible for assisting the Controls Engineer and Equipment Manager in developing the electrical team through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement, and training.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ihr Profil
- Required:
-
1-3 years' experience in machine building and controls
-
Expertise in interpreting technical drawings.
-
Demonstrated experience with electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment.

Ability to make and meet commitments in a fast paced, technology driven environment.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Preference given to candidates with:

Knowledge of metal stamping, metal finishing, metal plating and machining processes
Education:
Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience, learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout one's career.

Associate degree in mechanical/electrical
Work Environment:
-
Work is in a shop/lab and manufacturing environment.

Must be able to perform light lifting 50 lbs.
-
Must wear proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols and procedures.
