Computer scientist or similar (f/m/x) - Sensor data processing and pattern recognition for automated and connected vehicles
**Your mission:
Design the future of mobility with us! Be part of an interdisciplinary team in which enthusiastic colleagues have turned their passion for tomorrow's mobility into their profession. Develop cooperative and highly automated systems on road, rail, and in the air with us and together with our research partners and the industry. Become a part in numerous national and international projects and realize fascinating and unique experiments with our research testbeds.
For the safe, efficient, sustainable and comfortable traffic of the future, we develop methods for highly automated driving and for the connectivity of vehicles in a cooperative environment. In the process we consider individual vehicles and public means of transport, their interactions, and the impact of new technologies on the overall transport system.
We develop and test the methods with our research vehicles and large infrastructure testbeds on the public road traffic. Among others, the vehicles map the environment with sensors as camera and laser ranging systems, and they recognize the surrounding traffic and hazard situation. As a part of a connected transportation system, the vehicles interact with the users and with other traffic participants, and they benefit from real-time data of different traffic services. Therefore, completely new types of mobility arise in a coordinated and smart traffic system that are to be studied for the use of our society.**
Your activity:
As a part of your work, you will work with the cognition group on the following topics:
