Optical Engineer

Ihre Aufgaben

As part of your induction, we will familiarise you with our exciting products and the development environment. You will experience cutting-edge technology first-hand and observe the results of your work directly on the end product. Your task is versatile and demanding. This includes in particular:

• Support the design of imaging and illumination optical sub-assemblies and systems

• Modeling and analysis of imaging an illuminationoptical sub-assemblies and systems

• Define, design the set-up, and execute experiments for characterization of imaging and illumination optical sub-assemblies and systems

• Analyze optical experiments and tests results and identify potential improvements in the design and possible sources of problems

• Support the definition and execution of calibration methods, to minimize the influence of optical imperfection on the metrology accuracies results

• Support the activities of assembling and alignment of optical systems,

Ihr Profil

• Completed university studies in the field of physics, optical engineering, or similar degree

• At least two years academic or industry experience in the field of optics/photonics

• Basic knowledge in optical design and analysis software ZEMAX

• Programming skills in at least one scientific program language (e.g., MATLAB, Python)

• Good understanding oft he principles in imaging an illumination optical systems

• Hands on experience in executing optics/photonics laboratory experiments

• Desirable basic knowledge on CAD software

• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

• High analytic skills

• Open-minded personality with good social skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Proactive personality

• German language good, at least basic skills
