Ihre Aufgaben
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for The University of West Alabama, this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Installation and repair of plumbing fixtures, irrigation systems, and natural gas piping systems.

Maintenance and repair of water heaters.
-
Maintenance and repair of sanitary sewer systems.
-
Other duties may include working in other areas of the mechanical maintenance department to meet the goals of the department.

Able to effectively manage time and complete work within a reasonable time.
-
Some overtime work will be required.
-
Able to safely operate all types of plumbing tools and equipment.
-
Willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
-
All other duties as assigned by the director and/or University administrators.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
-
Periodically performing work outside during all times of the year.
-
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling and reaching.
-
Transporting moderately heavy items at times.
-
There may be a high level of walking required in this position.
-
Operation of University vehicles will be required.
Ihr Profil
Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Physical ability to do the work.
-
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
-
Ability to interact professionally with all members of the University community and external public.
-
Valid Driver's License.
-
Dependable transportation.
Desired:
-
Alabama Journeyman Plumber / Apprentice Plumber Card.
-
One (1) year of uninterrupted employment.
