Together with the team define of the embedded software architecture for our next generation MCU-Platforms from Firmware and Low-Level Driver up to the anticipated Application Components

Conduct feasibility studies for Software Architecture Concepts and support HW/SW Co-design activities

Work together with internal stakeholders to elicitate the scope of the components and suggest internal development or partnering up with third parties

Support the Platform Architect in defining the necessary hardware to support the planned software architecture

Lead technical discussion in your field of expertise as representative of Automotive Microcontroller with the broader development community within Infineon

Support the System Architecture of a distributed software architecture that encompasses Autosar and Non-Autosar nodes
As a Principal Engineer Software Concept for Automotive Microcontroller you will support the development of productive software for Infineon's automotive microcontrollers. You will work on definition of product requirements based on stakeholder requirements from external & internal stakeholders & be part of the high-level software architecture definition. A high-quality mind set & working according to the relevant automotive standards & process frameworks as ISO26262 & ASPICE will be key. You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

A degree in technical studies like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology

At least 6 years of professional experience in the field of automotive and embedded software engineering

Profound knowledge with different CPU cores like RISC-V or ARM
-
Proven ability to take leadership in you field of expertise

Experience on functional safety software concepts & standards likeISO26262 and ISO21434
-
Fluent English skills (written and spoken), German will be an added advantage
