Develop and execute global/regional category strategies in alignment with Global Category Director,

Support and execute global category strategies for foams, sensors/thermostats, adhesives, films and label,
-
Lead contract negotiations and developments with local suppliers to ensure consistent commercial terms and conditions,
-
Conduct regular regional benchmarking activities for assigned sub-categories to determine best in class suppliers,
-
Negotiate annual/semi-annual pricing based on regional indices, market factors and global benchmark data,
-
Qualify new suppliers in collaboration with category strategy,
-
Improve efficiency in terms of reliability of supply and price as well as risk management,
-
Work closely with our Business Unit Interface to identify and execute cost saving opportunities for new customer RFQ,
-
Ensure early involvement of SQD in case of new suppliers and/or materials and on-time PPAP approval,
-
Conduct purchasing of materials and select supplier and second sources for the components out of an approved supplier list,
-
Ensure complete maintenance of master data and workflows in all relevant systems,
-
Collaborate with engineering to confirm technical approval of supplier offers and required validation,
-
Support and execute cost reduction ideas,
-
Confirm material availability and lead time for the components.,

Ihr Profil
-
Bachelor's Degree in Business with technical background and/or Engineering with economical background,
-
Minimum 5-7 years experience as a category buyer or strategical buyer, ideally from automotive industry (preferred in commodities such as foams, films/foils and adhesives),
-
A record of achieving purchasing cost saving through negotiation & VAVE,
-
Strong MS Office, understanding of customer requirements, job specific processes and reporting tools,
-
Ability to transfer technical matters into economic considerations,
-
Strong team player and intercultural competence,
-
Strong English language skills (ability to negotiate conditions/contracts in English),
-
Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills, cost calculation knowledge,
-
Legal/contractual knowledge.
