As we continue to innovate and develop new software products, having clear and comprehensive documentation is essential. Our new Technical Writer will play a key role in helping our users understand and effectively use our products, ultimately contributing to our overall success.
As a Technical Writer, you are responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and guides. They will work closely with our software development, product, and support teams to gather information, understand the intricacies of our products, and translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.,

Create user manuals and guides: Write clear, concise, and user-friendly manuals and guides for various audiences, including end-users, developers, and administrators.

Update and Maintain Documentation: Regularly update existing documentation to reflect new features, updates, and feedback.

Version Control: Manage documentation versions to ensure users have access to the most up-to-date information.

Work with SMEs: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), including developers, engineers, and product managers, to gather accurate information. Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Liaise with various teams (e.g., marketing, customer support) to understand documentation needs and incorporate their feedback.

Write Tutorials and How-Tos: Create step-by-step tutorials and how-to guides to help users understand and utilize products.

Develop FAQs and Troubleshooting Guides: Produce frequently asked questions (FAQs) and troubleshooting guides to assist users in resolving common issues.

Create Visual Aids: Design diagrams, flowcharts, screenshots, and other visual aids to support written content.

User Testing: Conduct user testing of documentation to ensure it meets the needs and expectations of the target audience. Feedback Incorporation: Gather and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality.

Content Management Systems: Manage and publish content using our documentation platforms.

IT background with a few years of experience in IT but willing to do something different than coding or developing softwares

Basic knowledge of Github

Ability to work independently

Ability to create from scratch and to build up manuals, user guides and documentation.

Ability to help non IT people to understand easily IT language.

Very good command of English both written and spoken

Knowledge of Markdown would be an added value
