We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team as an Assistant Dining Facilities Manager at the 100 Mission Support Group, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Dining Facility Manager with directing, managing and supervising the operation of the Dining Facility in support of the Installation Commanders quality of life program. Ensuring the activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.

The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating past customer satisfaction, public health reports and financial performance, historical trends and program requirements to prepare realistic short- and long-range operating plans. This role will also include being responsible for supervisory personnel management and representing the Dining Facility at installation events.

• Incumbent is subject to work other than normal duty hours, which may change daily due to the requirement of managing a 7 day-a-week operation.

• The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing; however this position may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse and safety mishap and accident testing.

• Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.

• Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

• May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

• Position may be coded as mission essential.

• A 6-month probationary period will be required.

• May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

• May be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

Ihr Profil

• Knowledge of, and skill in applying, commonly used equipment, facility or service principles and concepts sufficient to: obtain on-the-job experience with equipment, facilities, or services; and develop familiarity and proficiency in performing highly structured assignments under strictly controlled situations.

• Knowledge of, and skill in applying, the full range of principles, concepts, methods of food service sufficient to: planning menus, considering factors such as customer preference and seasonal foods, develop and add new recipes to the automated recipe and menu pricing system; arrange for the use of excess subsistence stocks; ensure that food substitutions are within the basic daily allowance; provide a 90-day forecast of food item requirements; conduct food area inspections for safety, food storage and sanitation; assure maximum conversation of food and elimination of waste through following proper methods of food storage, stock control, handling, preparation, and serving procedures; and assure food service quality standards though the use of corporate standards, self-assessments, marketing surveys, customer surveys, and feedback.
