**Position Description:** This role holds regional responsibility for the strategic sourcing and purchasing of direct and indirect materials and services within the scope of manufacturing site procurement. The incumbent will directly manage all manufacturing site procurement staff in the European region, aligning with global category strategies while adapting execution to meet local and site-specific needs. This role will also lead the identification and implementation of initiatives designed to enhance the overall performance of assigned spend categories, ensuring robust controls and procedures are in place to maximize organizational effectiveness for site procurement within the region.
**Functions, Duties, Tasks:**
- Leads manufacturing site procurement staff in the European region.
- Develops and mentors high-performing raw material sourcing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented mindset. Cultivates team members into trusted and capable business partners for relevant production sites.
- Collaborates closely with manufacturing site leadership to ensure alignment between site procurement and site needs.
- Guarantees supply security by meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, regulatory and quality compliance, cost efficiency, inventory management, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction. Owns accountability for KPI achievement.
- Identifies and capitalizes opportunities to consolidate supplier spend regionally and globally.
- Ensures consistent supply of goods, equipment, and services to meet business needs while maintaining compliance with all laws, internal policies and procedures, and global category strategies. Serves as the first point of escalation for supply issues.
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on compliance with pricing standards outlined in the site business plan to minimize and predict purchase price variance (PPV).
- Develops and implements regional site procurement strategies within the framework of global category strategies.
- Leads the transformation of site procurement, prioritizing business needs.
- Validates the accuracy of spend data from regional sites to inform data-driven business decisions.
- Establishes regional strategies for Supplier Relationship Management.
- Implements and enforces procurement rules, procedures, and financial policies (FRAP).
**Minimum Qualifications (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):**
- Post-secondary education
- Degree or 5 years in a similar capacity (i.e. - Procurement / Supply Chain / Logistics).
- Strong spoken and written English and German
- French is valued
- Strong experience and skills using sourcing modules for SAP/Ariba/Other ERP systems /Microsoft Software
