We are looking for a strong addition to our Claims Leadership Team to work on our Global Claims Ambition 2025 while actively contributing to and promoting our Claims Leadership Values.
Great Laks Claims Governance & Reporting is a newly formed team which has the responsibility for governance and reporting of all MGA and single risks claims activities within the area of responsibility. You will lead a team of oversight, analysts and reporting professionals to ensure internal and external regulatory compliance. As a key member of the Claims management team, you will be focusing on governance, reporting, oversight and control of the Agency and Single Risks portfolios. The claims portfolios consist of various private and commercial lines of business .
The Head of Claims Governance & Reporting reports to the Head of Claims Great Lakes, and can be situated either in Munich or the UK.
YOUR JOB

Lead and guide a specialized oversight, analyst and reporting professionals situated in various locations in line with to our Global Claims Leadership Values

Actively implement the Future Global Claims set-up and advance our Global Claims Ambition 2025, as a member of the Claims management team.

Develop, implement and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of relevant governmental regulatory bodies (e.g., BaFin, PRA/FCA, etc.). In this capacity a close interaction and cooperation with the Head of MGA Claims will be necessary.

Develop and implement governance and compliance strategies to align with evolving regulatory landscapes.

Ensure consistent claims Oversight & Control across the Head of Claims area of responsibility including data collecting, mapping, analytics, steering, management information, Service Level Agreements and reporting,

Monitor and report claims trends and patterns, identifying areas for process improvement and risk mitigation.

Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to operational claims units, senior management and regulatory bodies.

Coordinate in collaboration with Head of MGA Claims and other GL units, the on boarding monitoring of agents and TPAs according to our standards

Develop and enhance Claims IT tools to support MGA claims management in collaboration with the MGA Claims team.

Drafting of TPA agreements and giving claims input to binding authority agreements while keeping them up to date as required

Develop work instructions and MGA claims management guidelines to ensure state of the art claims management in compliance with Claims Corporate Guidelines

Develop talent in the team and contribute to developing line of business specific talent across the region and on a global basis also in accordance with DEI objectives of MR Group

Create a collaborative environment, promote and encourage change to enhance the process of achieving the department goals as well as local, regional and global objectives and ambitions, both on an individual and team level

Regular performance of continuous conversations with the team members including coaching, feedback and development

Active participation in identifying emerging trends and new claim exposures

Represent Munich Re Claims and MR Group at conferences, market meetings and industry advocate institutions in accordance with the Global Claims Ambition
Ihr Profil

University degree or equivalent work experience required
-
At least 10 years' experience in primary and/or reinsurance gained or acquired in claims and /or underwriting functions

Leadership experience in managerial roles a definite plus

Excellent understanding of insurance and reinsurance claims, loss reserving, loss report analysis, litigation management and client relationships.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Very good understanding of other functions within the insurance/reinsurance operations (underwriting, accounting, reserving and legal)

Proven record of accomplishment in managing and developing talent

Demonstrated expertise in data management, reporting and analytics

Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking aimed at being solution oriented and results focused

Strong negotiations and conflict solving skills
