Developing and qualifying advanced manufacturing processes to significantly improve the cost, quality, capacity, and sustainability of Schleich products
-
Participating in strategic supplier selection for technology, equipment, and manufacturing suppliers, as well as developing standardized process FMEAs to be deployed at Schleich's current manufacturing sites
-
Ensuring that these processes are understood, standardized, and implemented by all relevant positions in our manufacturing process
-
Conducting time and method studies to establish time standards for production operations, preparing technical specifications including acceptable z-scores, and performing root cause analysis to develop a "get-well plan"
-
Leading automation projects from planning (e.g. calculating the ROI) to execution, including time and resource management, and integrating new technologies and systems into existing production, quality assurance, and maintenance

Training production staff on the operation and maintenance of new automation systems, while creating and maintaining technical documentation, including process descriptions, work instructions, and maintenance plans

Aligning cross-functional teams to develop a DFAM approach for Schleich products

Visiting plants to analyze current production, equipment, methods, and processes of suppliers and optimizing the complete E2E process

Participating in and/or leading activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing processes, and lean manufacturing implementation
Ihr Profil
-
You have a degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering
-
You have several years of experience in the following process areas with strong technical knowledge: injection molding, 2K/3K/4K injection molding, product decoration/product painting, laser printing, tampon printing, and 3D printing
-
You have at least 5 years of experience as a manufacturing or process engineer and are able to perform efficient project management
-
You have software skills in 2D/3D CAD, preferably also in SAP and VR/AR
-
You are willing to travel up to 30% and can work cross-culturally and cross-functionally
-
You have excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills
-
You are business fluent in English and German
