(Senior) Accountant (M/F/D)

Ihre Aufgaben

In this role the (Senior) Accountant (M/F/D) is the main contact person for lease accounting, assures the smooth running of all related closing activities and supports in the implementation of new applications and processes.

Principle duties and essential functions

• Main contact for lease accounting under IFRS and US GAAP

• Accounting for new lease contracts, terminations and modifications, as well as sublease accounting in accordance with the guidelines of IFRS 16 and ASC 842

• Monthly preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations

• Responsible for lease accounting transactions in the lease management system

• As a process expert for lease accounting, you will continuously develop the existing processes and prepare or maintain lease accounting policies and procedures

• Collaboration with global teams to establish controls necessary to capture all new leases on a timely basis

• Preparation of reports to support all lease accounting disclosure requirements or to be provided to the external and internal auditors

• Support the accounting team with other accounting tasks (mainly fixed asset accounting)

• Professional support in finance projects (system migration, implementation of new applications)

Ihr Profil

We are currently looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Accountant (M/F/D) with the focus on lease accounting in Munich, Berlin or Meiningen.,

• IFRS and US GAAP experience, tax is a benefit

• Min. 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment or an audit company

• University degree with focus on Finance or equivalent

• Practical experience with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA as well as MS Office, knowledge in Visual Lease is nice to have

• Good English skills, both spoken and written, German is an advantage

• Team-oriented, flexible and reliable personality with good communication skills
