Munich Re Facultative & Corporate business unit (MR F&C) is responsible for all our business written globally as facultative reinsurance or direct insurance in the lines Property, Engineering, Energy, Casualty, Cyber and New Risk Solutions. Since its foundation in 2019, MR F&C has significantly and profitably grown its portfolio and invested in innovative initiatives. A robust target operating platform that supports an integrated, efficient end-to-end process, along with a future-proof technology and data landscape, is central to our strategic vision. We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to contribute to our various digital tools and products.
Your job

Act as a business analyst throughout the entire project lifecycle, taking ownership of gathering and documenting requirements, and translating them into detailed IT specifications.

Collaborate with a team of business analysts and product owners to serve as a liaison between business users and the software development teams across multiple projects.

Act as member of the agile team and drive the alignment of interdependencies between the various projects. Identify possible synergies.

Develop and configure Munich Re low code applications in the area of business used (e.g. Rx0) and single page applications on the core underwriting system (e.g. FlexScreens)

Configure and develop frameworks for data extraction tools to enhance data extraction and document management capabilities.

Contribute to the development of data and document management use cases, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Gain a deep understanding of the target operating platform, processes, and tool capabilities, and actively engage in the collaborative development of the platform.
Ihr Profil

University degree or with certificate of secondary education and completed professional formation with focus on Computer science

Several years of experience in IT projects, preferably in application development and strong knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle

Demonstrable experience in analysis of business demands, deriving of system requirements and translating into system solutions

Work experience with Excel and rudimentary knowledge of how to express business logic with Excel formulas and/or VBA scripts

Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages is a plus

Prior experience with Javascript and/or Typescript, as well as basic knowledge of data modeling and UI design principles, are a plus.

Fundamental knowledge of Web API-based system integration; prior work experience of how to create and consume APIs is a plus.

(Re)insurance experience with demonstrable knowledge of underwriting products, processes and markets would be a plus

Strong analytical thinker with quick learning abilities and creative problem-solving skills. Open-minded with excellent decision-making capabilities and strong communication skills across cultures.

Fluent business English and German mandatory; additional languages are an asset
