RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a professional like you to join our Global Communications Team at EC/OK Münster. As a Media Relations Specialist, you play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of BASF Coatings. Working with an international team of communications specialists, you have the opportunity to passionately drive your professional ideas and make a meaningful impact for BASF Coatings.
* In this role, your responsibility is to create and execute impactful media strategies and narratives that enhance the global presence of BASF Coatings' initiatives, products, and achievements. By doing so, you contribute to the growth and success of our business.
* You passionately establish and sustain a robust network of journalists, media professionals, and industry influencers in key markets. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you gather essential information and insights to ensure that our media communications align with our corporate messaging.
* Furthermore, you are responsible for developing compelling press materials, such as press releases, media kits, social media posts, visual content, and backgrounders. These materials effectively convey our key messages and showcase our commitment to "always go beyond the surface."
* Moreover, you organize and execute media events, including press conferences and roundtable discussions, to ensure effective interaction with the media as well as prepare senior executives for media interviews and public appearances.
* Additionally, you monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify proactive communication opportunities and shape narratives. At the same time you analyze the effectiveness of media relations efforts, provide recommendations, and drive continuous improvement.
master's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field of studies
several years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably in both an agency and international corporate communications
proven track record of successfully managing media relationships and securing positive media coverage globally
excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to build resilient networks and manage international communities at all levels effectively
creative, empathetic, and inspiring personality with strategic thinking as well as a proactive mindset with a passion for storytelling and media engagement
strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences in both English and German
