in the INM's research group "Materials Synthetic Biology" (Prof. Wilfried Weber). In this group, synthetic biology and optogenetic strategies are used to develop advanced (living) materials for applications in diverse areas such as tissue engineering, biosensing, biocomputing, or living and sustainable construction. PhD and Postdoc in one of the following fields: synthetic biology, biomaterials, biochemistry, cell biology, metabolic engineering, or microbiology

Experience in lab management and supervision of PhD / MSc students

Strong experience in planning and writing of scientific publications

Experience in planning and writing of grant applications

Experience in managing scientific projects together with external partners

Excellent communication skills, a constructive and motivating attitude towards colleagues and partners

Qualification as Project Leader according to GenTSV §28 desired

Excellent command of written and spoken English language, very good command of German language (level C1) for proficient interaction with authorities / administration
