We are seeking an experienced, pro-active and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Lead to oversee the financial management of our operations and support profitable growth. In this challenging and important role, you be responsible for the overall accounting, reporting, compliance and financial analysis of Tecan Deutschland. You will act as Business Partner to the key commercial and HR functions of Germany and interface for Financial topics between the local Entity and the Group, as well as tax authorities. Your responsibilities will include

• Accounting: Ensure adherence to IFRS, statutory GAAP, and local tax regulations. Manage external audits, accruals, provisions, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate, timely financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis and corrective actions.
• Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring consistency and reliability in financial forecasts and reporting.
• Tax Management: Oversee tax accounting, compliance with local and international tax rules, and in alignment with transfer pricing policy.
• Cash Management & Working Capital: Manage accounts receivable, inventory valuation, and working capital to optimize liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Controlling & Analysis: Monitor operating expenses, sales contracts, credit terms, and revenue recognition. Analyze monthly reports to comment on major differences vs Budget and Previous Year; propose corrective actions.
• Identify improvements in KPIs, notably Opex and Cost Center controlling, Inventory management, and as well as AR collection, nonstandard costs and Service absorption.
• Act as Financial Advisor to the Commercial Manager
• Financial Systems & Process Improvement: Implement and maintain local finance processes, ensure effective internal control systems, and continuously improve financial operations. Participate as Finance Partner in projects and Execute Requested Ad Hoc Analysis from local-, divisional- or group management Background
• BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
• Proven experience in finance and accounting roles (4+ years), ideally with a background in statutory GAAP and tax.
• Knowledge of ERP System, SAP a +
• German and English as business languages
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
