The Faculty of Education is one of the largest faculties at Bielefeld University; its profile and structure are essentially characterised by the interplay between subject-specific science and educational science. Approximately 5,500 students study in the various degree programmes offered by the faculty. Around 200 employees (including 22 professors) work in research, teaching and administration. This makes the faculty one of the largest educational science faculties in Germany. It is home to twelve research groups and a total of six academic institutions that are internationally networked.

The advertised position is located in the practical semester of the teaching degree programme in primary school and primary school with integrated special education. A significant part of the teaching will take place in this area. Good field knowledge in the field of primary school and very good knowledge of empirical research methods are therefore necessary to supervise the study projects. In addition to teaching, the post holder will be involved in WG 3 research projects, for which it is desirable if the post holder has experience and competences in primary school-related project work. Collaboration in the application for and conceptualisation of new third-party funded projects in primary school education is desired. The opportunity for further academic qualification in the field of primary school research is given. The position will also be responsible for categorising changes of degree programme.

Your Tasks:

• 8 LVS (for employment under collective agreements) resp. 9 LVS (for civil servants) in educational sciences, focussing on the practical semester for the teaching degree for primary schools and primary schools with ISP (50 %)
• organisational and conceptual planning and further development of courses in the practical semester practical semester (10 %)
• content review and counselling in the area of teacher placement (10 %)
• interface management for examination administration (5 %)
• independent research work, publications and project applications in the field of school teaching and professional research in the field of primary school and primary school with ISP (20 %)
• collaboration in academic self-administration (5 %)

Employment is conducive to scientific qualification.

• completed university degree (preferably a teaching degree in primary school or in primary school with ISP)
