PhD Student Position in Algorithms

Ihre Aufgaben

The Department of Computer Science, Technical University of Munich, has a vacancy for a PhD candidate/researcher position in the area of efficient algorithms. The position is hosted at the Chair of Algorithms and Complexity, headed by Prof. Susanne Albers (http://wwwalbers.in.tum.de/index.html.en). The dissertation work will involve research in the fields of approximation and online algorithms, algorithmic game theory, or algorithm engineering.

Ihr Profil

Position of a PhD Candidate (100%) in Algorithms. The position is hosted in the Department of Computer Science, School CIT., The successful candidate should have a Master's degree in computer science or mathematics. Since the position involves teaching obligations, excellent proficiency in German is required. The application material should include (1) a cover letter describing the interest in the position, (2) a CV, (3) transcripts, and (4) a copy of the Master's thesis.

Wir bieten Ihnen

The position is paid according to the German public salary scale TVL-13 and provides a competitive salary with standard benefits. The initial appointment is for a period of two years and can be renewed for another two years.
